Humans in boxes

Above you can see an image of an urban block of flats, but it doesn't look that much different from a cell block in a prison. If you invest heavily in razor wire and barbed wire, build a few high walls around the block, you can have a prison in next to no time. The human perspective of the world and the universe tends to be boxed, square, rectangular, straight lines, angular, with very clear lines, boundaries, divisions and neat. The natural world and universe looks completely different.

This is because the concepts that we have in our heads do not fit and are incompatible with nature. The ancient Greeks said that there are three dimensions. Outside of energy, which does have three dimensions - consciousness, wavelength and frequency, there are not just three dimensions, there are an infinite number of dimensions. But humans see the world in terms of height, length and width. Humans think in terms of boxes, squares, rectangles, divisions, classifications, categories, labels...

But we live on a planet which is a globe. The Sun is a globe. The Moon is another globe. Planets are not square. Mountains are not rectangular. When Nature comes together it forms hexagons, such as soap bubbles, honeycombs, and more intricate designs and patterns.

But we persist in thinking in rectangles, lines, because most humans literally cannot think outside boxes. Boxes and lines of course mean all kinds of different divisions, categories, classifications - are you or aren't you? Are you black or white? Are you male or female? Are you old or young? Are you left wing or right wing? Are you rich or poor? Are you capitalist or communist? Are you conservative or liberal? Are you good or bad?

This is fundamentally stupid.

Let me give you an example.

This example has been generously provided for free by US. Rep Marjorie Taylor Greene who put up the above sign outside her offices which states that there are TWO genders: male and female. As a queer trans woman I kind of love getting involved in these kinds of discussions. Why? It's quite simple.

The two genders don't exactly get along

If politicians, Americans or otherwise, want to start getting divisive over things like gender and sex, I'm game.

I mean it's not like people's private parts are off limits for politicians, especially in the United States is it? Didn't you Americans recently have a President who bragged about grabbing women by the crotch? You know? The same President who thought it was funny to make fun of people with disabilities? The same politicians who seem to be fascinated whenever the topic turns to something like one man's penis getting close to another man's bumhole? Or when the subject turns to intimate matters such as women's reproductive rights and abortion?

Didn't you just have a bunch of male politicians in the South somewhere bragging about how they managed to get legislative control over women's bodies?

You know? The same politicians who seem to think a tiny blob of jizz somehow magically transforms into a complete human being and amounts to a lot more than a lifetime of menstruation, 9 months of discomfort and morning sickness and the intense physical pain of childbirth?

The same politicians that many of you Americans seem to keep electing back into political office time and time again?

Do you still want to play this Equality Game?

Are you sure?

Are you really sure?

You see we've all got opinions, and from what I can see, many of you can't even figure life out and get your shit together even when you're born with matching sex and gender.

I mean, how about I confuse some of you some more and throw a big word into the mix here such as intersectionality? How about we talk about that other issue which seems to confuse many of you such as skin colour or ethnicity and nationality? God forbid we start talking about people with actual disabilities who it seems nobody seems to give a flying fuck about.

You really think that Rodney Reed, who's spent 23 years on Texas Death Row for a murder he very clearly did not commit, would still today be on Death Row in Texas if he was white and had a bit of money? Get real. The only reason why Rodney Reed is on Death Row is because he's black.

It's the same reason why for the foreseeable future countries outside the United States are going to have bombs from the US military raining down on them. The United States has been involved in forty nine wars since the end of World War II. It's this inability to think outside boxes again, isn't it? Millions of people dead in the Middle East simply because they're not American, they not white, they're not wealthy, and so they can be bombed and have their countries invaded.

This is why Americans are never going to have universal healthcare.

Americans just don't have the ability to think outside their narrow minded boxes and labels and categories. They need wealthy white American politicians to break everything down for them and to explain everything in neat little boxes, and categories, and labels, and see, as much as they whine and bitch and moan about how things are, come each election they will meekly and obediently go out and vote for the same two parties and the same politicians, putting them right back into political office again.

This isn't any different to playing fetch with a dog in the park. Each time you throw the stick, the dog will chase after it and bring the stick back. Each time these wealthy white Americans and their political stooges box Americans in with their thinking, the same labels, the same boxes, the same categories, the same divisions, they know that enough Americans will meekly and obediently continue to think in those same boxes, those same labels, the same categories, maintaining the same divisions.

And then meekly and obediently go out and vote the same politicians back into office.

Time after time. Over and over and over again. Election after election. But it's not just Americans. Many people just don't seem to have got the memo.

Politicians are not your friends.
