What is rune casting?
There is a legend behind the runes and it goes something like this.
In seeking knowledge the Norse god Odin agreed to be hanged upside down from a tree where he remained for nine days. He was wounded by a spear and deprived of food and mead for nine days. On the ninth day, seeing some runes lying on the ground, and understanding them to be the sum total of all knowledge Odin climbed down from the tree and claimed them for himself.
This hopefully will give you some insight into a rune casting. This is a magical form of divination. There is a ritual involved and the ritual may vary depending on what questions are being asked and what knowledge or insight is sought.
Each runic symbol carries a symbolic meaning or significance, which I have revised according to mystical principles. These are purely symbolic means and when the runes are cast - always by the person who is asking the questions or seeking the insight, we explore the symbols to discover what comes to mind. My role here is shamanistic, I am there to provide mystical insight. I work with a couple of rune sets, one made of wood from a berry tree and another 'healing' set of runes made from black stone.
The reason why I prefer to use runes in my work is that rune casting is way more flexible with its different rituals and when working in an open ended session or meeting (always face to face) much insight can be gained and many questions answered.
If you're in London and interested in meeting up for a rune casting please contact me for a one to one session. I'm happy to come to you and do a home visit. There's no up front charges either.
